Northlight Gallery

About Northlight

A photographer, a print studio and a lot of early alarms.

Elin Marsh started Northlight Gallery in 2014 with a used camera and a habit of driving toward bad weather. The work has since hung in lodges, clinics and a great many living rooms across the Northwest, and the studio in Cedar Hollow now prints and frames everything in-house.

The galleries here are a small part of the archive. If you are after a specific place, ask; there is a good chance it exists on a contact sheet somewhere.

How the studio works

Four things you can count on.

01

One frame, no composites

What you see happened, in that place, in that light. Exposure and color are adjusted; skies are never swapped.

02

Printed here, by hand

Every print is made in the studio on cotton rag paper, checked under daylight, and signed before it ships.

03

Small editions, honest prices

The two largest sizes are limited to 25. Prices are on the print sheet and do not change with the season.

04

Leave the place better

Trails only, no drones in the wilderness, and a share of every print sale goes to trail maintenance.

Services

Beyond the galleries.

Prints are the heart of the studio, but the archive works hard in other ways too.
